Since the beginning of 2020 during the pandemic, I have been working molding hundreds of ceramic fasule (beans). The work follows the trajectory of the fasule during years of colonization and its travels from West Africa, Middle East, the Mediterranean. Each life-size ceramic fasule measures 1x2cm, at its root small vulvas are carved in. During workshops in my patio, family and friends have contributed by molding fasule along with me. Touch, being-with-oneanother, and collective making is at the root of this work.
