SILVI NAÇI (b.1987, Fier, Albania) lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. Naçi studied at the Instituto Cultural de Oaxaca (Oaxaca, Mexico 2004), Studio Art Centers International (Florence, Italy 2008), and graduated from the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University with a dual degree in Fine Arts & Graphic Design (2011). Currently, Naçi is an MFA candidate at California Institute of the Arts (Valencia, CA) in the Photography & Media program, and continues to work as independent curator, staff writer and editor at Big Red & Shiny (Boston, MA). Recent exhibitions include Terrain Biennial Exhibition (Los Angeles, CA); President Ravi Rajan’s Official Inauguration group exhibition, California Instituted of the Arts (Valencia, CA); Artists at Boston Center for the Arts, Curated by David Guerra, Mills Gallery (Boston, MA); Stand Up: All Women* group exhibition, Gallery Kayafas (Boston, MA); Big Red & Shiny group show, FPAC Gallery (Boston, MA); In Presence, Distillery Gallery (Boston, MA); Video Night, Yve Yang (Boston, MA); and Collaboration with Mark Cooper, YuYu China Blue, Yuan Art Museum (Beijing, China). In addition, Naçi received the First Prize in the Cambridge Art Association's 2017 National Prize Show. Naçi served a curatorial intern at MIT's LIST Visual Arts Center (Cambridge, MA), and served as Assistant Director at Samsøñ (Boston, MA), Art Director at the Liquid Art House (Boston, MA) and curator at the Fourth Wall Project (Boston, MA), the Distillery Gallery (South Boston, MA), and the Blanc Gallery (Dorchester, MA).
